Solange and I are fascinated by multi-tasking. We do it with a great deal of frequency. As we speak, we are running the dishwasher, doing laundry, roasting some vegetables in the oven and writing a long overdue Tips.

We see people multi-tasking all the time. Recently we saw a girl driving a car while reading a book — seriously. One time, at a farmer’s market, we saw a woman twerking and applying lipstick while sorting tomatoes.

What really got us started thinking about multi-tasking was our adventures yesterday.

After a tasty dinner at Bonefish Grill, we settled into watch the film Cosmopolis by David Cronenberg. Staring Sparkles himself, the film is about a multi-millionaire entrepreneur who spends all his time in a stretch limo in NY conducting his life. His limo activities include transacting business, eating, drinking, getting his hair cut, indulging in carnal pleasures, picking up random people. In short, Solange and I did not get this film at all.

To get back to multi-tasking, the scene in Cosmopolis that really threw Solange and i for a loop was Robert Pattinson’s character getting a proctological examination while having a face-to-face meeting with a client in the stretch limo. Solange had nightmares after watching this and wanted to know if this is what really happens in the boardrooms of major corporations in America.

In sum, Bonefish was delicious; Cosmopolis stunk.
